Evening
“That he may set him with princes”(Psalm 113:8).
Our spiritual privileges are of the highest order. “Among princes”is the place of select society. “Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ?”(1 John 1:3). There is no select society like this! We are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people”(1 Peter 2:9). We have come “to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven”(Hebrews 12;23). The saints have the right to a royal audience. The child of God has free access to the inner courts of heaven. “For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father”(Ephesians 2:18). “Let us therefore come boldly,”says the apostle in Hebrews 4:16, “to the throne of grace.” Among princes there is abundant wealth; but what is the abundance of princes compared with the riches of believers? For “all are yours; and ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's”(1 Corinthians 3:22-23). “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”(Romans 8:32). Princes have power. A prince of heaven's empire has great influence, for Jesus “hath made us kings and priests unto God”(Revelation 1:6). We reign over the kingdom of time and eternity. Princes have special honor. We may look down upon all earthborn dignity from the high position upon which grace has seated us. He “hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”(Ephesians 2:6). We share the honor of Christ- compared with this, earthly splendors are not worth a thought. Communion with Jesus is a richer gem than ever glittered in an imperial diadem.

우리들의 영적 특권은 최상의 서열(序列)에 속합니다(즉, 최상급의 특권입니다). "방백 중에 있다"는 것은 상류사회의 신분(계급)을 의미합니다.
"진실로 우리의 사귐은 아버지와 그 아들 예수 그리스도와 함께 함이라."(요일 1:3) 이와 같은 상류사회(하나님과 사귐을 갖는 특권사회)는 없습니다. 우리는 "택함 받은 족속이요, 왕같은 제사장들이요, 거룩한 나라요, 특별한 백성입니다."(벧전 2:9)
"우리는 하늘에 기록한 장자들의 총회와 교회에 이르렀습니다."(히 12:23)
성도들은 왕(방백) 같은 권리를 갖고 있는 관객(관중) 입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 자녀는 하늘의 안뜰까지 자유로운 접근(입장)을 할 수 있습니다.
"이는 저로 말미암아 우리 둘이 한 성령 안에서 아버지께 나아감을 얻게 하려 하심이라." (엡 2:18).
사도(히브리서 기자)는 히브리서 4장 16절에서 "은혜의 보좌앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라."(히 4:16)라고 말하고 있습니다.
왕(방백)들 중에는 풍성한 부(富)가 있습니다. 그러나 믿는 자들(성도들)의 부에 비교하면 왕(방백)들의 부는 무슨 대수(對手)가 되겠습니까? 왜냐하면 "다 너희의 것이요, 너희는 그리스도의 것이요, 그리스도는 하나님의 것"이기 때문입니다(고전 3:22-23).
"자기 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람을 위하여 내어주신 이가 어찌 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리에게 은사로 주지 아니하시겠느뇨?"(롬 8:32)
왕(방백)들은 권세(power)를 갖고 있습니다. 하늘의 제국의 왕자는 위대한 권세를 갖고 있습니다. 왜냐하면 "예수님은 하나님을 위하여 우리를 나라(왕들)와 제사장으로 삼으셨기 때문입니다."(계 1:6)
우리는 시간과 영원의 왕국을 다스리는 왕(방백)들입니다. 왕(방백)들은 특별한 영예를 갖습니다. 하나님의 은혜가 우리에게 앉혀 준 고귀한 자리에서 보면 우리는 땅에서 태어난 권세(위엄)를 경시(輕視)할 것입니다.
주님은 "또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히셨습니다."(엡 2:6)
우리는 그리스도의 영예를 함께 공유합니다. - 이 영예를 비교하면, 땅의 광휘(빛)는 일고(一考)의 가치도 없습니다. 예수님과의 교제는 이제껏 어떤 황제의 왕관에서 반짝이며 빛났던 것보다 더 값진 보석입니다.
