Evening
"The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?"(Mark 14:14).
Jerusalem at the time of the Passover was one great gath- ering of humanity Each household had invited guests for the holiday, but no one invited the Savior. It was by His supernatural power that He found an upper room in which to celebrate the feast. It is the same even to this day - Jesus is not received among the sons of men except where His supernatural power and grace prepare the heart. All doors are wide open to the prince of darkness, but Jesus must clear a way for Himself of lodge in the streets. We do not know the identity of the owner of the upper room, but he readily accepted the honor which the Redeemer proposed to confer upon him. It is still easy to see who are the Lord's chosen and who are not. When the gospel comes to some, they fight against it and want nothing to do with it. But where men receive it joyfully, it is a sure indication that there is a secret work going on in the soul and that God has chose them for eternal life. Are you willing to receive Christ? Then no difficulty can stand in the way. Christ will be your guest. His own power is working with you, making you willing. What an honor to entertain the Son of God! The heavens cannot contain Him, and yet, He condescends to find a home within our hearts! We are not worthy for Him to come under our roof, but what an amazing privilege when He enters anyway! He makes a feast for us to enjoy with Him where the food gives immortality to those who eat it. Blessed is the one who entertains the Lord.

○ 요절: "어디든지 그의 들어가는 그 집주인에게 이르되 선생님의 말씀이 내가 내 제자들과 함께 유월절을 먹을 나의 객실이 어디 있느뇨 하시더라 하라."(막 14:14)
유월절 절기 때의 예루살렘은 하나의 거대한 인간 집합소였습니다. 각 가정은 그 축제 동안 손님들을 초대했습니다. 그러나 아무도 구주를 초대하지 않았습니다.
주님은 그 축제를 축하하기 위한 다락방을 그의 초자연적인 능력으로 발견했습니다. 그것은 오늘날도 마찬가지입니다. - 예수님은 그의 초자연적 능력과 은혜가 그 마음을 준비하는 곳 외에는 인자들에게 영접받지 못하십니다. 모든 문들은 흑암의 왕들에게는 활짝 열려있습니다. 그러나 예수님은 스스로 길을 해결하시거나 길거리에서 묵으셔야 합니다.
우리는 다락방의 주인의 정체를 알지 못합니다. 그러나 그는 구속주가 그에게 주고자 한 영예를 쉽게 받아드렸습니다. 누가 주님의 선택을 받은 자이고, 누가 아닌지를 아는 것은 지금도 쉽습니다. 복음이 어떤 사람들에게 왔을 때, 그들은 그 복음을 대적하고 복음과 아무 상관이 없기를 바랍니다. 그러나 사람들이 기쁘게 복음을 받는 경우는 그 영혼속에서 진행하고 있는 은밀한 역사가 있다는 확실한 징후(표시)입니다.
그대는 그리스도를 기꺼이 받아들일 것입니까? 그렇다면 어떤 어려움도 그대를 방해할 수 없습니다. 그리스도는 그대의 손님이 되실 것입니다. 그분 자신의 능력이 그대에게 역사하셔서 그대로 하여금 기꺼이 순응하게 하실 것입니다.
하나님의 아들을 환대하는 것은 얼마나 큰 영예이겠습니까!
하늘들도 그분을 담을 수 없습니다. 그러나 그분은 우리의 마음안에 있는 집을 찾으시려고 자기를 낮추십니다.
우리는 그분이 우리의 마음의 지붕 아래로 오실만한 가치가 없습니다(즉 너무도 위대하시고 고귀하신 주님을 너무도 누추한 우리의 마음의 집에 모실 수 있다는 것은 상상할 수도 없습니다).
그러나 어쨌든간에(그럼에도 불구하고), 그분이 우리의 마음에 들어오시는 것은 얼마나 놀라운 특권입니까!
주님은 우리가 그분과 함께 즐길 잔치를 베푸십니다. 그 잔치에서 먹는 음식은 그것을 먹는 사람들에게 불멸의 영생을 줍니다. 주님을 환대하는 사람은 복이 있습니다.
