Evening
"The Lord mighty in battle"(Psalm 24:8).
God is worthy of glory in the eyes of His people. He has worked great wonders for them, in them, and by them. For them the Lord Jesus triumphed over every foe, breaking all the weapons of the enemy in pieces by His finished work of obedience. By His triumphant resurrection and ascension He completely overturned the hopes of hell, leading captivity captive, making a show of our enemies openly, triumphing over them by His cross. Every arrow of guilt which Satan might have shot at us is broken, for who can accuse God's elect? The saved have reason to adore their Lord for His conquests in them. The arrows of their natural hatred are snapped and the weapons of their rebellion are broken. How glorious is Jesus when the will is subdued and sin dethroned! Our remaining corruptions will suffer an equally sure defeat, and every temptation, doubt, and fear will be destroyed. In the depths of our peaceful hearts, the name of Jesus is great beyond compare. We may securely look for victories by us. "We are more than conquerors through him that loved us"(Romans 8:37). We will cast down the powers of darkness which are in the world by our faith, zeal, and holiness. We will win sinners to Jesus, we will overturn false systems, we will convert nations for God is with us, and none can stand against us. This evening, let the Christian warrior chant the war song and prepare for tomorrow's fight -"Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world"(1 John 4:4).

여호와는 그의 백성들의 눈에 영광을 받기에 합당하신 분입니다. 그분은 그들을 위하여 그들 안에서, 그리고 그들에 의하여 큰 이적들을 행하셨습니다. 그들을 위하여 주 예수님은 그가 이루신 순종의 사역에 의하여 원수들의 모든 무기를 산산조각 내면서 모든 원수를 쳐부시고 개가를 올리셨습니다.
그분은 포로를 포로로 잡아 두면서(즉 포로 상태에 있는 자를 해방시키면서), 우리의 원수들의 정체를 공개적으로 내보이면서, 그분의 십자가로 그들을 정복하시면서, 그분의 승리의 부활과 승천에 의하여 지옥의 희망들을 완전히 전복시켰습니다.
사탄이 우리를 향하여 쏘았을 모든 죄책의 화살은 다 부서졌습니다. 그런데 누가 하나님의 택하신 자들을 송사할 수 있겠습니까?
구원받은 자들은 그들 안에서 이루신 그의 정복(승리)으로 인하여 그들의 주님을 경배할 이유를 갖고 있습니다. 그들의 타고난(자연적인) 증오의 화살들은 탁 꺾였습니다. 그리고 그들의 반란(반역)의 무기들은 망가졌습니다. 인간(자연인)의 의지가 정복되고 죄가 폐위(내쫓김)될 때 예수님은 얼마나 영광스럽겠습니까! 우리에게 남아 있는 죄들도 똑같이 확실한 패배를 당할 것입니다. 그리고 모든 시험, 의심, 그리고 두려움은 파괴될 것입니다. 평화로운 우리의 깊은 마음속에서 예수님의 이름은 비할 바 없이 위대합니다.
우리는 우리에 의한 승리를 확실하게 기대할 수 있습니다.
"우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라."(롬 8:37)
우리는 세상에 있는 어둠의 세력들을 우리의 믿음과, 열심과, 거룩함에 의하여 쓰러뜨릴 것입니다. 우리는 죄인을 얻어서 예수님께로 돌아오게 하고, 우리는 거짓 시스템들을 전복하고, 우리는 하나님이 우리와 함께 하시기 때문에 민족들을 회심시킬 것입니다. 그리고 누구도 우리를 대적할 수 없습니다.
오늘 저녁, 그리스도의 전사(戰士)가 전쟁의 노래를 부르게 하십시오. 그리고 내일의 싸움을 준비하게 하십시오. - "너희안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 이보다 크심이라."(요일 4:4)
