“We will be glad and rejoice in thee”(Song of Solomon 1:4).
We will be glad and rejoice in God. We will not open the gates and begin the new year on a note of sadness. Rather, we will sing to the sweet strains of the harp of joy and the high sounding cymbals of gladness. “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation.”(Psalm 95:1). We, the called and faithful and chosen, we will drive away our griefs and set up our banners of confidence in the name of God. Let others lament over their troubles. We who have the sweetening tree to cast into Marah's bitter pool will magnify the Lord with joy. Eternal Spirit, pool will magnify the Lord with joy. Eternal Spirit, our perfect Comforter, we will never cease from adoring and blessing the name of Jesus. Jesus must have the crown of our heart's delight. We will not dishonor our Bridegroom by mourning in His presence. We are ordained to be the minstrels of the skies. Let us rehearse our everlasting song before we sing it in the halls of the New Jerusalem. We will be glad and rejoice -two words with one meaning- double joy, blessing upon blessing. Should there be any limit to our rejoicing in the Lord even now? What riches are laid up in Jesus! What rivers of infinite bliss have their source and every drop of their fullness in Him! Sweet Lord Jesus, You are the present inheritance of Your people. Favor us this year with such a sense of your preciousness that from its first to its last day, we may be glad and rejoice in You. Let January open with joy in the Lord and December close with gladness in Jesus.

우리는 하나님으로 인하여 기뻐하며 즐거워할 것입니다. 우리는 슬픈 곡조로 문을 열고 새해를 시작하지 말 것입니다. 오히려 우리는 아름다운 거문고 가락과 높이 울리는 즐거운 심벌(타악기)소리에 맞추어 노래할 것입니다.
"오라 우리가 여호와께 노래하며 우리 구원의 반석을 향하여 즐거이 부르자."(시95:1)
택함 받고, 부름받은 신실한 우리들은 하나님의 이름으로 우리의 슬픔들을 몰아내고 믿음(확신)의 깃발을 세울 것입니다. 불신자들은 그들의 고난을 애통하게 하십시오.
마라의 쓴 우물에 던져 넣기 위하여 물을 달게 하는 나무(예수님의 십자가)를 가진 우리는 기쁨으로 주님을 찬양할 것입니다. 우리의 온전하신 위로자이신 영원한 성령이시여, 우리는 예수님의 이름을 경배하고 찬양하는 일을 멈추지 않을 것입니다. 예수님은 우리의 기쁜 마음의 왕관을 쓰셔야 합니다. 우리는 슬픔(탄식)으로 우리의 신랑되신 예수님 앞에 모욕(창피)을 드리지 않을 것입니다.
우리는 천국의 찬양대로 태어났습니다. 우리는 새 예루살렘의 궁전(宮殿)에서 찬양의 노래를 부르기 전에(이 땅에서) 우리의 영원한 노래를 미리 불러봅시다.(시연합시다.)
우리는 기뻐하며 즐거워합니다. 기쁨과 즐거움은 두 단어지만 한(같은)의미입니다. 그것은 축복 위에 축복인 갑절의 기쁨(즐거움)입니다. 바로 지금도 주안에 있는 우리의 기쁨에 어떤 제한이 있겠습니까? 예수님 안에는 놀라운 부들이 쌓여 있습니다! 주님 안에는 무한한 행복의 강들의 근원이 있고 그 강들을 가득 채우는 모든 물방울이 있습니다.
아름다운 예수님, 주님은 주님의 백성의 현재의 기업(유업)입니다. 금년(이해) 첫날부터 마지막 날까지 주님의 소중함을 깨달아서 우리가 주님 안에서 기뻐하고 즐거워 하도록 우리에게 은혜를 주시옵소서.
주안에서 기쁨으로 정월 달(1월)을 열게 하시옵고, 예수님 안에서 즐거움으로 그믐 달(12월)을 끝 맺게 하여 주시옵소서.
